Visitor rules:

The club recognises several different classes of walk for which different visitor rules apply. Any “Light Walk" or “Summer Sunrise/Sunset Walk" or "Annual Pilgrimage walk" will  have these key words in its title. These walks are generally "Urban" or "near urban” and involve less risk than our standard bushwalks. All other walks should be considered “Standard Club Walks".

In all cases a visitor must purchase a $10 visitor voucher before participating on a club walk. Instructions on how to purchase a visitor voucher appear in the next section "Obtaining a Visitor Voucher”.

“Light walks" are the only club walk where visitors may participate without a club member sponsoring them. These walks are easier than other walks. They are normally no more than 10km and at a slower pace.

For all other walks, a visitor may only participate when they are sponsored by a club member who knows them and can vouch for their ability to complete the walk..

With the exception of “Light Walks”, a visitor should ask their sponsoring member to contact the walk leader before purchasing their visitor voucher. The walk leader must give permission for the member to bring their visitor.

For the case of “Light Walks" and other Summer "urban” walks, a visitor voucher entitles the visitor to attend up to 3 of these walks. For all other classes of walk, a visitor voucher entitles the visitor to attend only one walk.

Purchasing a 'Visitor's Voucher” also means you are covered by our Public Liability, Personal Accident and Associations Liability Insurance.

Obtaining a Visitor Voucher:

To satisfy our insurance and booking system requirements, it is essential that every visitor must create an account and purchase a visitor voucher in their own name.

Here are the steps the visitor must do before their first walk with the club:

1: Create your new Perth Bushwalkers account

Go to New account registration

And fill in all the information required and create your account. Each visitor will only need to do this once.

2: Then purchase your visitor voucher.

Log into your account and go to the shop and choose "Visitor voucher", or use the green button at the bottom of this page.

Fill out the form and pay using Visa, Mastercard or EFT. Note that credit card payments occur instantly while EFT payments may take several days before the purchase is complicated. If paying by EFT, use your surname and "visitor voucher" as a bank reference.

Also note that Diners and AMEX cards are not accepted.

Note to members, do not purchase the visitor voucher on behalf of your visitor.

Adding a visitor to a walk:

For “Light Walks" a visitor should contact PBW Walks Coordinator pbwwalkscoord@gmail.com after purchasing the visitor voucher, and ask to be added to their chosen Light Walk.

For all other walks, a visitor should ask their sponsoring member to add them to their chosen walk. The sponsoring member should go to the registration page for the chosen walk, then the "Visitor  registration” tab, then "Add", then select the visitor from the drop down list.

Members, if you cannot find your visitor on the drop down list, please contact PBW Walks Coordinator pbwwalkscoord@gmail.com and explain the situation.
